THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain in Central Kerala till Wednesday. Orange and yellow alert has been announced in various districts. Orange alert has been announced in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, and Thrissur districts today. A chance of very heavy rain in isolated places is forecasted.

Below are the districts where yellow alert has been declared

Sunday: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Wayanad

Monday: Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur.

Tuesday: Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur.

Wednesday: Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur,

Chances of isolated heavy rains are predicted in these districts. Strong winds and thunderstorms that accompany summer rains are dangerous and there is a possibility of landslides and flash floods in case of heavy rainfall. The Central Meteorological Department has advised the public to be cautious.
