LUCKNOW: A video of a prisoner buying liquor from a liquor shop with handcuffs has gone viral. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district, and the video shows a policeman helping the said prisoner to buy alcohol. As the incident became controversial, the authorities ordered an investigation.

The incident happened while the prisoner was being taken from the police station to the court.

The accused was taken to the court in a police vehicle accompanied by two policemen. On the way, the accused stopped in front of a liquor shop and went to buy liquor. The footage of the incident was captured on camera by a passerby.

Authorities ordered an investigation into the incident. The police superintendent informed that action will be taken against the police officer who helped the prisoner to buy liquor. Two officials have been suspended as part of the investigation.
