BENGALURU: PDP chairman Abdul Nazer Mahdani said that he would not come to Kerala by paying the amount demanded by the Karnataka government for escorting him to Kerala. Mahdani's family complained that it was unjust to demand such a huge amount in the name of providing him security.

The health of Mahdani's father is deteriorating day by day. Mahdani is also suffering from health issues. However, Mahdani has decided not to return home after paying such a huge amount.

The Karnataka government and the police had demanded that Mahdani's family should provide Rs 20 lakh per month for his security. The Supreme Court, which considered the report of the committee appointed by the Karnataka government to provide security in Kerala, said that it is not interested in interfering in the matter. With this, Mahdani has no other option but to pay Rs 20 lakh per month to the Karnataka Police to come to Kerala. This forced him to withdraw from the trip to Kerala.
