THIRUVANANATHAPURAM: Students planning to bunk classes be warned. As part of the anti-drug drive to prevent students from falling into the trap of drugs, the shadow police will station in front of the school to check whether any students are cutting class to meander their way with alleged gangs in the city.
SHO from every police station will make contact with PTA officials and other faculties to zero in on some students who are doubted to be addicted to such banned drugs. The police will scrutinize strange friendships of students with gangs. The students bunking class will be pounced upon by the shadow police. Parents will be contacted if the students miss any class. Some students leave home for school but split midway to team up with gangs. Police will contact the parents of such students and a counseling session will be provided.
The CCTV cameras near the school premises will be religiously scrutinized.SHO officers are in charge of this duty. It has turned normal for girl students to cover their faces with shawls to remain unnoticed while traveling with boys on bikes. Such bikes will be monitored and cases will be registered if the girl's travel was without her parent's consent.
