manjumatha

PATHIRIPPALA: Manjumatha, who was saved by Janaseva Sisubhavan from the begging mafia, is now married to Gopikrishnan. Gopikrishnan is the son of Palakkad Peringottukurissi native Gopalakrishnan and Sathyabhama.

The marriage took place at KRP Auditorium in Mannur the other day. Gopikrishnan is working in Kuwait as a car mechanic. Manjumatha, who passed ITI Electrician Course, is working at a private company in Palakkad.

Manjumatha reached Janaseva in 2002 when she was just 3 years old. She had fallen into the hands of the begging mafia after her mother abandoned her when her father got paralyzed. Following this, the begging mafia made her beg in Angamaly town after pouring acid on her body. It was during this time that Janaseva saved her.

Manjumatha was adopted by Palakkad Mannur native Sivasankaran and Leela through the Child Welfare Committee when she was studying in the 6th standard in Janaseva. Several people, including Janaseva founder Jose Maveli, attended the marriage.
