MOSCOW: Russia alleges that Ukraine tried to kill President Vladimir Putin using drones. Russia raised the accusation after they informed that they shot down two drones that flew over Putin's palace in Kremlin. A video of a drone flying over the Kremlin Palace and being shot down near the dome of the palace has been widely circulated on social media in Russia. But other countries have not confirmed this.

Russian security officials responded that the drones were aimed at the Kremlin and it was a terror attack planned to kill the president. They informed that no damages were reported and that Putin was safe. The Kremlin has stated that it has the right to retaliate in the incident. But Ukraine says that it has no role in the attack. Following the attack, Moscow's Mayor issued an order stating that the drones should not be flown without permission.

Despite the attack, it is reported that Russia will hold a Victory Parade on May 9 to commemorate the defeat of the Nazis.
