SULTHAN BATHERY: Four including a couple travelling in a car with the deadly drug MDMA, have been arrested. Feroz Khan (31) of Nallalam in Kozhikode, P K Yousafali (26) of Parappuram, his wife Ayesha Nihala (22) and P Nadeer (26) of Kannur were arrested. They were arrested during a vehicle inspection conducted by the anti-narcotics squad under Wayanad District Police Chief and Batheri sub inspector C M Sabu and his team at Muthanga.

156 grams of drugs brought from Bengaluru to Kozhikode, for sale were seized. It was found hidden on top of the car. The weighing machines, covers and some other things used for retailing of drugs were seized from them.

With the drug trafficking gangs targeting women, the police intensified checking. This is the third attempt to smuggle MDMA in one and a half months
