THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Employees and customers were affected by the action of the police who banned parking on the road near the secretariat without any prior preparations. Those who are unable to find a space in the limited parking space at the Secretariat used to park on both sides of this road. However, with the police banning parking on this road, the employees are roaming around with their vehicles looking for parking spaces. There is hardly any space near the Secretariat to park the vehicles of the employees.

Vehicle parking has been banned on the road near the Secretariat since the end of April. Several employees are facing difficulty due to this sudden parking ban imposed without an alternative arrangement. Those who contacted the traffic police to complain were told that parking is not allowed on the road and that they should park in the allotted space. Even the police have no answer when they were asked to show the allotted space.

Will impose fine

The fine for illegal parking is Rs 250. At present, police authorities are carrying out awareness. The fine will be imposed from next week.
