KOCHI: Rs 100 crore corruption happened in the AI camera deals, said opposition leader V D Satheeshan. The opposition leader also revealed the presence of Prakash Babu in the consortium meeting held to finalize the AI camera deal. Prakash Babu is the father-in-law of CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s son, Vivek Kiran.

AI camera deals were only worth Rs 50 crores but the humungous spending from the government has broken all barriers. Satheeshan opened up about cooperating with any investigation that the government orders.

“Appliances which could have been bought in small price range were intentionally purchased at triple rates.SRIT got 6% of the commission. Trois Infotech proposed completing the project at Rs 57 crore. However, the rate crossed Rs 150 crore and it is nothing but a mystery that only an investigation can bring out. Alhind group of companies earlier informed the government about the fraud but nobody cared. They even went out of contract. Even industries minister P Rajeeve had know-how about the fraud being committed but he stayed silent doing obeisance to CM” Satheeshan said.
