THRISSUR: Advait, a Plus two student of Ernakulam Kakkanad Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, has been practicing 'Rubiks Cube ' since the age of seven. He did the same once more, but the difference was that this time it was done under the sea. Advait solved the Rubik's Cube in just 22 seconds after scuba diving into the sea when he came to Havelock Island in Andaman and Nicobar with his family to enjoy his vacation.

The idea of solving the Rubik's Cube undersea was suggested by a relative named Sajan, who is a noted scuba diver. Advait swam about 300 meters into the sea with an oxygen cylinder along with Sajan and started solving the cube when he reached a depth of 20 feet. Advait usually needs just ten seconds to solve the cube if on land. They think that the speed was reduced because brain activity decreases under the sea.

Advait was also notable for creating portraits with Rubik's cubes during the lockdown after watching pictures being done with Rubik's cubes on the European channel. The first picture he did was the wedding picture of his parents itself. He made a reverse logo with 400 cubes under the name 'World is One Family' at the 'Lokame Tharavad' exhibition in Alappuzha. This is done by arranging the backs of Rubik's cubes in a frame with the image facing the front. Advait got a place in the Arabian Book of Records after making a portrait of the ruler of Dubai. He has completed portraits of over 100 celebrities like Swami Vivekanandan, Kumaranashan, Rashtapati, Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Rajinikanth, Mammootty, Mohanlal, KS Chitra, Kunchacko Boban, etc.

He has received recognitions from URF Asian Record and India Book of Records. He is the son of Girish, a handloom businessman in Thrissur, and Bindhya, who works in the aerospace industry in Ernakulam. Sister Avantika is a 5th-class student.

'Apart from Rubik's Cube solving, I am also interested in scuba diving. I want to attend such courses along with my studies.'
