THRISSUR: Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan visited Guruvayoor on Saturday and offered 'Thulabharam' at the temple. Arif Muhammad Khan came to Guruvayur to inaugurate the Madamb commemoration. Then the 'Thulabharam' was done in the pandal on the east side of the temple. 83 kg of 'kadali' banana was used to weigh the governor for which he paid Rs 4250 to the temple.

The governor came to the temple wearing a shirt and mundu and offered prayer at the tower gate of the temple. After that, he reached the east side of the temple and did the 'Thulabharam'. After the visit, the governor responded that words cannot express the spiritual experience of visiting the temple. The Governor also received Guruvayurappan's prasada kit. After Thulabharam, Arif Mohammad Khan returned after spending time with Devaswom Governing Body members.

Meanwhile, the Governor had announced that he would not comment on the controversy related to the film 'The Kerala Story'. The governor told the media that he had not seen the Kerala story and therefore was not in a position to comment on the controversy related to the film. He added that the Prime Minister may have commented because he had seen the movie. Arif Mohammad Khan also said that if the plot of the film is related to real events as claimed by the makers, then it should be investigated.
