NADAPURAM: A locked house in Edacheri was robbed last night. Valuable bronze vessels and plates have been lost. The theft was at the house of Kunhammed Haji in Panolipeedika, a well-known ancient ancestral house in the area.

The house was locked after the death of Kunhammed Haji, four months ago. The maid who came to clean the house in the morning found the lock broken and the door opened. On detailed inspection, found several utensils including a huge uruli weighing more than 25 kg were missing.

Among stolen are four beautiful brass plates and kindis with Arab engravings. The thieves did not touch steel and aluminum containers and others including a grinder. Based on the complaint filed by the family, the Edacheri police registered a case and started investigation. The dog squad and fingerprint experts from Perampra reached the house and examined the house.
