parents-neet-exams

KOZHIKODE: Protests emanated from schools in Kozhikode and Kottayam regarding the conduct of national eligibility entrance exams for medical(MBBS) aspirants. The shortage of question papers started the exams late in Kozhikode Mar Baselios school. The faculties ran helter-skelter and tried filling the void with question papers of absentees. It was only after 30 mins that the next bundle of questions paper arrived at the school.

The district coordinator held talks with the NEET office in Delhi after which the shortage was solved. The parents waiting for the return of students were left apprehensive after the students turned in late. It was only after a detailed inquiry, that the issue got revealed. The parents protested the reckless conduct of one of the most sought-after exams in India.

The exams were conducted in 20 halls across the school. In most halls, the question paper was issued at 2:05 pm. However, in two to three halls, the exams started only at 3:05 pm. While in Kozhikode Alfarook school, a student and parent protested for the mistake from the faculty who gave the wrong OMR sheet for marking. The coordinator Ramachandran Nair has called for a probe into the issue. In Kottyaam, the schools allowed the students late for exams which in turn made it arduous for them to complete the exams on time.

Students commented about the chemistry in Neet exams being too hard to crack.
