POOCHAKKAL: Two youths met a tragic end in a collision between a bike and a bus on the Cherthala-Arookutty route.

The deceased have been identified as Bismal Babu (26) son of Babu-Bushra couple from Thoovanattu Veliyil in Chennam's Pallipuram and Pranav (22) son of Pramod-Geetha of Vallikattu Colony. Pranav Prakash (23), who was with them in Koovakkattu Chira, was admitted to a private hospital in Nettur in critical condition. The accident happened near Cherthala's Makkekadav intersection at 10 am yesterday. A private bus coming from Arookutty to Cherthala hit the bike of the youth who were going to attend the wedding of their friend's sister. Bismil and Pranav were rushed to the hospital but could not be saved. Friends who were coming with them on another bike took them to the hospital. Siblings of Bismal Babu: Anisha and Binisha. Pranav's sisters: Preethi and Prathibha.
