SRINAGAR: Border Action Teams (BATs) comprising Pakistan Army commandos and terrorists were reportedly spotted near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector. In the investigation into the Rajouri encounter, there are also reports that Pakistan supplied weapons to the terrorists who carried out the firing.
BAT teams were located in Poonch, Rajouri, Mendar, Krishna Ghati and Bhimber Gali sectors. Information is being received that the Mujahid Battalion and BAT are helping the terrorists to infiltrate into the Jammu sector through the forest. According to intelligence sources, BATs are active in three places in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Militants are active in villages near Pir Kalanjar, Dotilla and KG Top in PoK.
It is reported that terrorists have moved from Lanjote, Kotli, and Khuiratta in PoK to Rajouri and Poonch sectors. In Kalu and Lanjote in PoK, there has been a threat from BAT. Kalu is located opposite the Poonch – Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. It is reported that the same training given to the Pakistan Army is given to the terrorists as well. They are also being trained to attack the Line of Control.
