These are times of elephants. The TV news abounds with Arikomban, PT-14, and more such revered names. Many are lionized in Kerala while Instagram on other social media goes a frenzy over the mention of their names. Now, another elephant has created a buzz for some odd reasons. Near Hogenakkal, a wild tusker sauntered near the road, to have food. The vehicles passing through these roads moved in extreme caution seeing the sand-bathed camouflaged tusker eyeing the movements from the sidelines.
However, a man from Tamil Nadu made some cojones and moved near the rogue tusker. He reached near the elephant and bowed in reverence to the giant. The people nearby are heard calling him back as it was ludicrous to brave a move that was totally uncalled for. The elephant is seen moving back but when the man faces backward, the giant charges ahead but stops immediately. That moment assures the chills. More such criticism is pouring ahead for the man who tried for headlines but definitely made the wrong choice. It was his lucky day.
It was suicidal, even then the gentle giant tolerated the man and let him go.
