BENGALURU: The tides are favoring Congress in Karnataka. The initial poll results show the Congress party crossing the majority numbers in Karnataka(114 seats).PM Modi who traveled 26 km in Karnataka during the campaign run may have been swept aside by the grand old party’s resurgence in the state. The rebel MLA Jagadish Shivappa Shettar who contested from Hubbali Dharwad for INC is trailing by large numbers. The Congress party meanwhile has kickstarted celebrations in the state. former CM H D Kumaraswamy is trailing from Channapatna.
According to close reports, the congress has booked helicopters to shift the victorious candidates to Bengaluru. The AICC camp fears another 'operation lotus' by BJP similar to the coup in 2019 by the saffron party. Even though it is too early to call shots, still the trend is all congress as AICC has started big celebrations all over India.
