MALAPPURAM: An aged woman has been arrested in Kondotty with 13 grams of MDMA drugs. Edakkara native Rasiya Begum was arrested from a lodge near Morayur high school.

Yesterday, the customs arrested a batch of youngsters from Karipur airport for trying to smuggle gold into the state. It was after the cue from them that the whereabouts of Rasiya Begum came into the picture. The police and customs initiated a search and found 13 gm MDMA, Rs 20000, and many packing covers.

It was just days before in Kozhikode that another youngster Shanoj was arrested with 4 gm of MDMA.
