KOCHI: The Narcotics Control Bureau has announced that methamphetamine that has been seized in a deep-sea drug smuggling operation in Kochi is worth Rs 25,000 crore. The market value came out when the valuation of seized drugs was completed. A total of 2525 kg of methamphetamine was seized. The Narcotics Control Bureau stated that the value increased due to higher quality. The valuation was completed after 23 hours of effort. The first reports were that drugs worth Rs 15,000 crore were seized.
The seized drugs and arrested Pakistani national will be produced in court tomorrow. His arrest was recorded today. Meanwhile, the Navy and NCB are continuing to search the sea for the other two boats that abandoned the ship and escaped.
