THRISSUR: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala levelled harsh criticisms against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He said the chief minister is not responding to his allegations. CPM state secretary M V Govindan is justifying chief minister's corruption, he said while talking to the media in Thrissur.
Chennithala alleged that if in Karnataka it is 40% commission, here the government is charging 80%. There has never been a government that has been corrupt like this and the arrogance of the government has increased tenfold after the second Pinarayi government assumed power.
Chennithala asked whether the government is not obliged to answer the allegations of corruption levelled by the opposition in the democratic system. Without giving an answer, the chief minister is rude to say that we will do what we feel like doing, who is there to ask. The people should understand that, said Chennithala.
Chennithala said there will be a strong protest from the side of the people when fine is slapped on the camera. The government should clarify on the corruption allegations we have enumerated. If we say anything wrong, we challenge the government to take legal action against us. Keltron has not released any important documents. He also demanded to release the principal secretary's order immediately on the matter. Chennithala added that the government secretary cannot file a report against the father-in-law of the chief minister's son.
‘Pinarayi Vijayan is a copy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cannot ask questions to Modi. It is the same here also. There is no doubt that people will react against it,’ he added.
