MUVATTUPUZHA: Youth from West Bengal arrested with ganja. Kudus Sekh (25) and Rajab SK (25) were arrested by Muvattupuzha police for cannabis sales. The accused were caught with 1.1 kg ganja from a building near Muvattupuzha Market Road where migrant workers live. Small plastic containers used to pack them for retail sale were also seized. The sales were done in packets of Rs.500. The accused were selling ganja among the people of other states without going for any other work.

For a few days now, complaints have been raised that the use and sales of narcotics, including cannabis, are widespread in the market area. Under the direction of rural district police chief Vivek Kumar, DySP S Muhammad Riaz led the anti-narcotics special investigation team members, namely Muvattupuzha station house officer Rajesh KN, sub-inspectors Mahin Saleem, Vishnu Raju, assistant sub-inspector Jayakumar KP, and senior civil police officers Bibil Mohan and Shibu.
