KOZHIKODE: The defense in the Koodathayi serial murder argued that Roy Thomas murder case deserves the importance of a civil case only. As per the defense' claim, Roy Thomas's brother Rojo's attempt to get the family's property culminated as a criminal case. During the witness cross-examination before Maradu Special Court Judge SR Shyamlal, the defense counsel, Adv BA Aloor, presented the case.
Aloor also argued that no document has been received so far that Roy Thomas was killed. The prosecution has not been able to present any evidence that Rojo fabricated to extort the property leading to the murder. The defendant also argued that the case which should have been treated as a civil case was converted into a criminal case by fabricating documents. The court then allowed the prosecution to re-examine Rojo tomorrow.
