KOOTHUPARAMBA: Police have arrested a youth who bought 70 LSD stamps online from Rotterdam, Netherlands. The arrested youth has been identified as Koothuparamba native KP Sreerag. The police found the drugs upon examining a parcel that arrived at the Koothuparamba post office.

The seized LSD stamps weighing 1,607 mg are worth around Rs 3 lakh. The accused admitted that he had ordered the stamps from the dark web on May 1 last.

The accused purchased LSD through Bitcoin transactions after creating a separate account on the dark web. Notably, possession of 100 mg LSD is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Sreerag was earlier booked by the Koothuparamba Excise for possessing ganja.
