KOZHIKODE: Forest Minister A K Saseendran said bargaining with the body of a person who died in a gaur attack, is like cruelty shown by the animal. Saseendran while talking to the media said some organizations are trying to implicate the government by exaggerating even trivial things that happen in the forest areas.

‘I got the information that there are no political parties behind the struggle to bargain with the dead body. There are deliberate efforts to change the people of forest areas as anti-government and inculcate a confrontational nature in them. It was seen in the wild buffalo attack, Arikomban and buffer zone issues. Any move to create emotional problems or disrupt the law-and-order situation will be dealt with strictly,’ the minister said.

‘The response of KCBC over the issue is provocative. They should think whether their stand suits their tradition. Expected a favourable stand from the religious leaders. They are able to pacify the people. A provocative approach does not fit their tradition,' he said.
