THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SFI leader Visakh suspended in Kattakkada Christian College impersonation controversy. The new principal Dr. NK Nishad is the one who took action. GJ Shaiju, who was the principal, was earlier suspended by the management. Action was taken against Shaiju following Kerala University's instruction.

Based on the complaint of the university registrar, the police had registered a criminal case against Shaiju and Visakh. The police have registered a case with Shaiju as the first accused and Visakh as the second accused. The case in the complaint filed by Kerala University is for the crime of impersonation and forgery. As part of the investigation, the police will collect the election documents from the college. It was decided to take statements from Shaiju and Visakh after that. Meanwhile, it is reported that MLAs IB Satish and G Stephen have written to the CPM leadership demanding that they have no involvement in the incident and that an investigation be conducted.
