RAIPUR: Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh said that Nathuram Godse is a good son of India. Giriraj Singh was replying to AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi's remark that they were sons of Godse.

Giriraj Singh said 'Although Godse was Gandhi's killer, he was also the good son of the country. Godse was born in India and was not an invader like Aurangzeb and Babur. Those who are happy to be called Babur's son cannot be Bharat Mata's son', the minister told the media during a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh.

The controversies started with recently circulating tweets in Maharashtra praising Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan. A prohibitory order was issued in Maharashtra's Kolhapur on Wednesday following clashes between the two groups. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's reaction also fueled the controversy. "Suddenly, in some districts of Maharashtra, sons of Aurangzeb took birth. They keep the status of Aurangzeb and show their posters. Because of this, there are tensions. Questions arise, where do these sons of Aurangzeb come from? Who are behind this?' Fadnavis had asked

Hyderabad MP Owaisi's remark after this led to Giriraj Singh's words. 'Do you know everything? I didn't know you (Fadnavis) were such an expert. Then you should know who the children of Godse and Apte too, who are they?' Owaisi said.
