KOLLAM: The Kollam City Police arrested two people including one who smuggled MDMA in his anus. 55 grams of MDMA were seized from them. Mansoor Raheem (30) of Kottiyam brought MDMA after hiding it in his anus from Bengaluru.

The other arrested is Nikhil Suresh (30), a native of Sakthikulangara. The two were arrested from Kottiyam bus stand jointly by the City District Dansaf team and Chathanur, Kottiyam and Kannanallur police. MDMA could not be found from Raheem even after a medical examination. It was found after a detailed interrogation. He was taken to the district hospital and after administering enema 27.4 grams of MDMA hidden in his anus was taken out.

Nikhil Suresh, who was working in the Gulf, reached home three months ago. He has been using MDMA regularly. He came from Bengaluru with the drugs he got with the help of his female friend and when examined, 27 grams of MDMA was found hidden in a special compartment inside his clothes.

Special branch sub inspector Jayakumar, sub inspectors Arun Shah, Asha V Rekha and Dansaf team led by Zacharia Mathew, assistant commissioner in charge of district anti-narcotics force, district special branch assistant commissioner Dr R Jose, Chathanur assistant commissioner B Gopakumar, Chathanur inspector Sivakumar, Kannanallur inspector Jayakumar and Kottiyam Inspector Vinod caught the two.
