KANNUR: A woman software engineer was found dead at her husband's house. The dead is Megha Manoharan (24) of Pinarayi. Though Megha, who was found hanging at her husband's house near Ayyappa Mutt on Saturday midnight, was rushed to the Thalassery General Hospital, her life could not be saved.

The incident happened after Megha returned from attending a birthday party in Kannur. Megha is the wife of Sachin, a fitness trainer in Kathiroor. She is the daughter of T Manoharan of Sauparnika in Padannakkara and Rajavalli. She got married to Sachin on April 2. Her relatives alleged that she took the drastic step following domestic harassment and there were beat marks on her body. They lodged a complaint with the Kathiroor police pointing all this. They demanded a detailed investigation. The police are probing the incident.
