NEW DELHI: As part of the tax share allocation, Rs 1.18 lakh crore has been allotted to various states in India by the Ministry of Finance. As part of the third stage allocation; Kerala will get Rs 2277 crores, Tamil Nadu - Rs 4825 crores, and Gujarat - Rs 4114 crores.
For this time, the tax share revenue of June and the upcoming month is togetherly distributed to states. On a normal basis, the monthly tax share revenue stayed at Rs 59140 crores. However, in an unprecedented move, the finance ministry doubled the tax share for the states during this time.
The ministry also asked the states to prudently use the amount for welfare and developmental schemes. Earlier, the central government annulled the loan limits forcing Kerala to experience turbulent times of economic ineptness. However now, with the sudden distribution of tax share revenues, Kerala hopes for upliftment and has achieved the required relief.
