THIRUVANANTHAAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that Kerala will receive heavy rain for five more days. Northern districts are most likely to receive heavy rain. There is a chance of strong winds and thunderstorms in the evening. Today, a yellow alert has been declared in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts. These districts may receive 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain in 24 hours. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as the wind will likely gust at 45-55 kmph on the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts until June 15.
