PALAKKAD: CPM state secretary MV Govindan is standing firm in the conspiracy claim in the case against journalist Akhila Nandakumar.
"The stand I took is the correct one. It is not arrogance. I will not change my stand just because the media wrote editorials," Govindan said. He also alleged that some people are taking the initiative to lead a campaign against Arsho.
"You should see the clips shown by the channel. Everything was well prepared. The visuals show the principal's room being opened. Can someone open the principal's room like that? They open it right and go into the room. A KSU worker is seen waiting right there. They then ask him the questions. Let them investigate. Criminal charges will not be waived in the name of any movement or media," MV Govindan said.
Meanwhile, LDF convener EP Jayarajan said that case will not be registered against the journalist if she is found innocent in the investigation. He said that MV Govindan did not threaten anyone and that Govindan only told what he learned from the police.
