rain

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Despite the presence of Cyclone Biporjoy in the Arabian Sea, rainfall in Kerala is less than usual. According to the IMD, the rainfall from June 1 to 13 was 54 percent less than usual. This time only 116.8 mm was received against 251.8 mm of rain received last year. In the absence of rain, the water level in all the dams in the state is low. According to the Met department, the low pressure in the Arabian Sea caused the wind to blow to the north, the direction of the rain clouds changed, the steam from the sea decreased and the monsoon came much late, which is why rain decreased.
