KOCHI: The police on Wednesday arrested three youths who created an atmosphere of terror on the road by using lethal weapons. Aluva natives Shameer (22), Ajas (27) and Thammanam native Nahas (25) were arrested by the Palarivattom police.

The trio, who were in a car, created an atmosphere of terror on the road near the Kaloor stadium by using deadly weapons. They became violent and threatened passers-by. The police also said that they brandished swords at the passengers.

Upon learning about the incident, a police team led by Palarivattom Police Inspector Joseph Sajan reached the spot and arrested the trio. Police said Shameer is an accused in several cases. The accused were later produced in the court and remanded.
