AHMEDABAD: Widespread damage has been reported in Gujarat due to wind and rain following Cyclone Biporjoy. Trees were uprooted in coastal areas of Gujarat. Houses collapsed in many places due to strong winds. In Dwarka, billboards collapsed. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of flooding in the state due to widespread rains.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rainfall of up to 25 cm in some parts of the state.

After the cyclone made landfall, a meeting was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The eye of the cyclone is now 40 kilometres away from the Gujarat coast.
