AHMEDABAD: Cyclone Biparjoy has caused heavy damage in Gujarat. Twenty-two people were injured. More than five hundred trees were uprooted. There was widespread crop damage. Electricity poles were damaged in several places and electricity was completely cut off in 940 villages.
Several pets were killed. Currently, the wind is blowing at a speed of 100 kilometres per hour. The cyclone is expected to weaken in the coming hours. The wind is moving towards Rajasthan. In the wake of this, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there will be heavy rain in Rajasthan.

The cyclone made landfall at around 7 pm yesterday. Its speed had reached 125 kmph by 10 pm. 36 teams of National Disaster Response Force and State Forces have been deployed in the state.
