PALAKKAD: Police have arrested six people for trespassing in the hostel and attacking the students. The arrested persons are SFI district secretary S Bibin, DYFI local leaders Sachin, Mithun, Gautham, and Malappuram natives Sooraj and Harshit.

Police have registered a case against the arrested persons for various offenses such as insulting by calling caste name and attempted murder. The accused barged into the boys' hostel of the Government Victoria College, Palakkad, and beat up the students. The accused had gone into hiding after the incident. They were later arrested after they surrendered in court.
