actor-vijay-politics

CHENNAI: Headlines gleaned from all popular TV channels today morning about an event that was unusual in all aspects. Tamil actor Vijay decided to felicitate class 10 and class 12 top three rank holders in a function at Neelankarai, Chennai.

However, the event was more than just felicitation, and the actor in his usual monologue gave a sly hint about stepping foot into the wide realm of politics.

β€œ You are the new voters of tomorrow; vote wisely and ask your parents to not take bribes from politicians. If one person is getting Rs 1000 for a vote, see it can turn to Rs 15 crore if the money reaches 1.5 lakh people. What is the need for that vote? The politicians have amassed such trunks of money. Nobody is there to question it. I want a lot to change in the current educational system.” Vijay commented.

He said, β€œTo your friends who may have failed in exams, talk to them and give them support and courage. There will always be a group that will discourage you from doing things you want. But listen to the voice inside you.”

Vijay was on his moral self with talks laced more with righteous things for students to practice. He also asked students to vigorously read Ambedkar and Periyar among all others.
