THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there will be heavy rainfall in the state for the next five days. A yellow alert has been announced in various districts. A chance of isolated heavy rain is also predicted. According to the IMD, 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain will be received in 24 hours.

The IMD has advised not to go fishing in the Kerala-Karnataka coasts and Lakshadweep region due to strong winds and bad weather with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and at some occasions up to 55 kmph.
