KOCHI: In 2019, Monson hired the girl as an assistant and molested her by telling her that he was a cosmetology doctor and could teach her cosmetology. On July 25, 2019, in the evening, she was taken to the bedroom and shown obscene material on the iPad. The charge sheet states that he touched her body with sexual intent and abused her the next day.

In October 2019, after finding out that the girl was pregnant, Monson aborted the pregnancy by giving her pills. The abuse continued after this as well. The abuse continued until two days before his arrest on September 25, 2021. He later threatened to kill the girl and fire her mother and brother from their jobs if she disclosed the information about the abuse. He said that the house rented to the girl and her family will be vacated. The investigation team led by Ernakulam Crime Branch DySP YR Rustam completed the investigation within 60 days and issued the charge sheet. The court examined 22 prosecution witnesses. 22 documents were produced by the prosecution. The defense examined one witness. 12 documents were produced.

Total Punishment: Rigorous imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs 5.25 lakh. It carries three terms of rigorous imprisonment for life and 35 years of rigorous imprisonment under various categories.
