NEW DELHI: The national capital woke up early to a disastrous news, as two women were shot dead by unidentified assailants in Delhi’s RK Puram. Pinky and Jyothi, natives of Ambedkar colony were shot at early dawn by a three-member gang. The police received a phone call from one person claiming to be the brother of the victim at 4:40 am morning. Immediately, both women were shifted to AIIMS but succumbed to their injuries.
It is assumed that the assailants targeted the brother of the girl but settled for her in rage. The family was deep in financial troubles and the attack may be a repercussion of that, predicts police. The search for the assailants is ongoing while rumors say the attackers are also part of the same family as that of the victims.
