ALAPPUZHA: SFI came forward supporting Nikhil Thomas in fake degree certificate. SFI state secretary P M Arsho responded that all the documents have been verified and are found to be original.

‘It is clear from the certificates that he graduated from Kalinga University. Nikhil's is not a fake certificate,’ said Arsho. Meantime, the police have started an investigation into the controversy. The statement of the principal of Kayamkulam MSM College is likely to be registered. The action is based on the complaint filed by KSU to the district police chief.

The KSU and MSF organizations had alleged that Kayamkulam MSM College management and Kerala University were aware that Nikhil Thomas, who did not pass B.Com, had obtained admission for M.Com through a fake certificate.

Nikhil joined for M.Com in the management seat. The degree certificate of Kalinga University was presented for this purpose. Nikhil studied for B.Com in 2017-20. He was the university union councilor in 2019. Later became the joint secretary of the university union. KSU leaders said that Nikhil's claim that he had studied in Kalinga University since 2019 is proved to be false and it is mysterious that the college authorities were not aware of this.
