Students committing suicide have increased in big numbers in the state. Kerala is still not over the shock of Sradha Sathish’s death that brought Amal Jyothi Collge to a standstill. The recurring deaths cast huge question marks about the ways of upbringing and the need to ingrain in students the fact that there is infinite time in life to upend every loss. The NCRB’s ADSI report of 2021 showed that over 13000 students committed suicide in India, with most reasons attributed to the failure in examinations.
