CHENNAI: A pastor, who allegedly abused a girl from the age of 15 for five years, has been arrested. The arrested has been identified as Vinod Joshua (40), a native of Vellore in Tamil Nadu. The woman filed a complaint with the police, alleging that she had been sexually assaulted by him since she was 15 years old in 2018.

A complaint was lodged at the Kadambur All Women Police Station. Then the police registered a POCSO case against the pastor. The accused was working as a pastor at Ashirvada Sagodara Sabha Pentecostal Church in Keezhakottai village. The complaint states that she got married last year and is now eight months pregnant and recently Vinod Joshua started harassing her again on WhatsApp.

Vinod Joshua was arrested from near Mattuthavanu bus stop in Madurai after the police started investigating the complaint. The police informed that further investigation is being conducted in the case and POCSO has been charged against the accused.
