KOCHI: The crime branch is preparing some gritty political scenes in Kerala. If the HC quashes KPCC president K Sudhakaran’s anticipatory bail plea, a cavalcade of crime branch officers will reach Sudhakaran’s residence to arrest the leader. Sudhakaran's bail plea will be considered today while the crime branch is all ready to inform the court about the impending charge and evidence against the congress leader.
Sudhakaran is the second accused in the money laundering cases involving conman Monson Mavunkal. A witness has made one secret testimony saying he saw Sudhakaran receiving money from Monson at the latter's residence. The crime branch also received evidence of this witness traveling along with Monson to as far as Delhi. Sudhakaran was earlier asked to appear for a questioning session but the congress leader denied the request.
The complainant Anoop said it was under K Sudhakaran’s mediation that he transferred RS 25 lakhs to Monson Mavunkal. According to Monson’s former driver Jaison, immediately after Anoop left the place, K Sudhakaran took Rs 10 lakhs from the amount.
