THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The spread of dengue fever in the state is likely to intensify in July. Minister Veena George while addressing the media said that cases are increasing in a similar manner to 2017 and hospitals will be prepared accordingly.
Dry days will be observed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the coming weeks to prevent the spread of disease. It is implemented with the help of local and education departments. Observe a dry day in schools on Friday, office on Saturday and homes on Sunday.
A monitoring cell will be initiated to coordinate the activities. Support of private hospitals will be ensured. A meeting will be held with IMA and IAP today. Medicines, test kits and safety equipment will be ensured along with increased testing. The minister also stated that had given instructions to make appointments to the vacant posts.
