KOTTAYAM: Two people have been suspended from MG University after post-graduation certificates went missing. The action was taken after the preliminary investigation found that he had failed in his responsibility. The former section officer and the current section officer were suspended pending investigation.

The report was submitted by the Controller of Examinations Dr CM Sreejith and Vice Chancellor Dr CT Aravindakumar who conducted a preliminary inquiry into the missing certificate formats. A report on non-hologrammed formats of 54 postgraduate certificates has just been submitted. All employees of the section whose certificate is missing will be transferred to other sections during the investigation period.

In case the missing certificates cannot be recovered, a police complaint will be filed immediately. Also 54 missing certificates will be revoked and their serial numbers will be published. Vice Chancellor also informed that the registrar will send a report on the steps taken by the university so far to the Minister of Higher Education.

154 unsigned certificates are missing from MG University. It includes 100 degree certificates and 54 PG certificates. 100 UG certificates went missing five months ago. A week ago, 54 PG certificates also went missing.
