KOZHIKODE: The police have taken former SFI leader K Vidya into custody in the fake certificate case. Vidya was taken into custody by Agali police from Meppayur in Kozhikode district. Vidya will be produced in Mannarkkad court tomorrow. Vidya was taken into custody on the fifteenth day after the case was filed. It is reported that the police have started travelling to Palakkad with Vidya.

Vidya was taken into custody today amid rising criticism against the police for not arresting her weeks after registering a case against her. The other day, the Kerala High Court had adjourned the hearing in Vidya's anticipatory bail plea to next week.
