WASHINGTON: Guinness record for the yoga demonstration led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the United Nations on the occasion of World Yoga Day. The demonstration won the record for the largest number of countries participating in a yoga retreat. Delegates from around 135 countries participated in this yoga exercise.
The Prime Minister said at the function on the occasion of Yoga Day that once again the world has come forward with one mind to make the idea of Yoga Day a success for India. Ahead of the event, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in front of the UN headquarters. Modi congratulated everyone who came to the United Nations headquarters for the Yoga Day celebrations.
The Prime Minister arrived in the United States yesterday for a three-day visit. Modi is visiting America at the invitation of US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden. He will receive a ceremonial reception at the White House on June 22 and will meet with President Biden. It is reported that he will hold discussions with many people in the industry, researchers, artists and others.
