KOZHIKODE: The police have taken former SFI leader K Vidya into custody in the fake certificate case. Vidya was taken into custody by Agali police from Meppayur in Kozhikode district. The police managed to track the former SFI leader down by following her mobile tower location. The police nabbed Vidya while she was on her way back from her friend's house in Kozhikode. She was taken into police custody from Meppayur in Kozhikode.
Vidya will be brought to the Agali DySP office on Thursday morning. She will be produced in the Mannarkkad court after recording her arrest. Vidya was taken into custody on the fifteenth day after the case was filed. It is reported that the police have started travelling to Palakkad with Vidya.
Vidya was taken into custody today amid rising criticism against the police for not arresting her weeks after registering a case against her. The other day, the Kerala High Court had adjourned the hearing in Vidya's anticipatory bail plea to next week.
