KOZHIKODE: CPM Perambra area secretary dismissed rumors saying it was not the party that helped accused Vidya to stay undercover for more than 14 days. Area secretary M Kunjumuhammed in a press meeting today said the party had nothing to do with Vidya.

“ It was not the party that helped Vidya stay undercover. The responsibility is on the police, they should figure out the mystery. Police should reveal who helped her stay furtive for all these days. Staying undercover is not any crime. It has been practiced by political leaders for a long. It comes under the basic right of every citizen to avail such benefits of bail. The party has got nothing to do with the fraud”

Meanwhile, Vidya who scammed a college in Attapadi by submitting a doctored experience certificate has been remanded for 14 days. Vidya will be in police custody for the coming two days. Her bail plea will be considered on June 24th.
